Deckel NC Milling Machine Web Site

Guestbook

Hello everyone,

you may put your web-site comments here, but the guestbook is not a help hotline.

In order to provide a possibility of answering questions I have set up a Technical Forum on the website. This will allow people to ask a question and others to answer.

I will not answer technical questions in the guestbook and do not encourage others to do so.

Fascinating website. Thanks for all the work in creating it - keep up the good work!

(Sadly, I don't have an NC Deckel, but I do have a manual FP1, and I have some experience of the latest DMG machining centres, which are impressive machines.)

Regards,

Jon Laughton

Hi Kattenes,
my defective bought FP2NC ( with the siemens 3m control) is fixed now. It took me about 50 hours - with a lot of wrong guesses. The culprit was the 3m contol output card, which feeds the contol voltages to the motor driver cards. A memory chip in this card was faulty (FlipFlop) which ha d to decouple the DAC from the databus. So the machines servos started rumoring when a certain feed speed, and axis was selected. ...

Does anyone have a NSV80 power board available that he is willing to sell?

It is no problem when the board is not working, as long as the printed circuit board itself is in decent shape.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kattenes
The machine was quite cheap -below 2kEuros- and came directly from a NC workshop, who hasn't used it the last 2 years. Fixing defective electronics is one of my hobbys. complicated = intresting ;)
There are 3 mechanical handwheels on the machine, and I've got a lot schematics and user manuals with it. The schematic for the missing electronic handwheel was included as well, I can sent you a scan - if you want. It seems to be easy to be "reverse engineered" / copied - there are just 6 Buttons with lamps and an rotational encoder in it - no further electronics needed.
I hope that I will get it to its future place this weekend - so that I can try to fix the control (blank screen, nobuttons response / lightning..)

best regards

Buying such machine with a defective Siemens 3M control is a gutsy move. I would not have touched it except for parts. I hope it is not the very old machine that has been on german website for sale for a long time (very old style control console). The Siemens machines do not have handwheels. I'd much more advise you towards a Dialog control.
