The FP NC Series
The FP NC Series of machines are the real NC deal. They all have 3D capability and are the final iteration of the Deckel universal milling machine.

This is the typical FP NC machine in its final Dialog 4 appearance.
Note the 6300 rpm flip-up vertical head, the universal table, and the connections for all the assessories below the x-axis motor.
The FP "A" NC machines no longer have the connections for the assessories (except were specifically ordered), they have a larger sheet metal housing on the sides, a lower but much wider electrical cabinet, fewer windows in the enclosure, a much bigger arm supporting the control so it can be swivelled to the front of the machine, and the higher speed flip-up head was not available. Most of it in the interest of cost savings.
